Pion Interferometry in Auau Collisions at √ S Nn =200 Gev

We present preliminary results from a two-pion intensity interferometry analysis from Au+Au collisions at √ s NN =200 GeV measured in the STAR detector at RHIC. The dependence of the apparent pion source on multiplicity and transverse momentum are discussed and compared with preliminary results from d+Au and p+p collisions at the same beam energy.

200 GeV IN STAR

We present measurements of the transverse momentum spectra for K 0 S , Λ , Ξ − and their antiparticles in p+p collisions at √ s = 200 GeV. The extracted mid-rapidity yields and pT are in agreement with previous p + ¯ p experiments while they have smaller statistical errors. Direct photons in d + Au collisions at √ s NN = 200 GeV with STAR

Results are presented of an ongoing analysis of direct photon production in √ sNN = 200 GeV deuteron-gold collisions (d+Au) with the STAR experiment at RHIC. A significant excess of direct photons is observed near mid-rapidity (0 < y < 1) and found to be consistent with next-to-leading order pQCD calculations including the contribution from fragmentation photons.
